Welcome to Health Care Communicators of San Diego and Imperial Counties -- the local chapter for the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development of the American Hospital Association (SHSMD). Our members represent a wide range of health strategy disciplines including marketing, planning, communications, public relations, business development, physician relations, and government relations.

We offer our members a vast range of professional development and recognition opportunities – and with each year, our programming gets stronger and more robust.

You will find our members in multihospital systems, urban academic medical centers, suburban hospitals, freestanding surgery centers, multispecialty physician practices, state hospital associations, advertising agencies, consulting firms, and many other organizations.
